The Plain Film Department at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic & forward-thinking Superintendent Radiographer. You will lead the PRUH team delivering a high quality and timely service. 

You will have strategic insight, proven leadership skills and the ability to engage colleagues in change management.

For such a candidate PRUH radiology offers a department strategically aligned to quality benchmarking; a mature clinical governance structure, considerable investment in rolling equipment replacement and a focus on developing advanced clinical practice.

Departmental CPD is supported as well as training and development in radiographic reporting and Quality Improvement Methodologies.

You must be a HCPC registered radiographer, with at least 3 years’ postgraduate experience of working in plain film. Previous experience leading a department is desirable.

You will undertake daily operational management duties as appropriate at Band 8a level. You will be required to teach, supervise and appraise more junior staff and to collaborate with other staff members in clinical audit and service development.

You will be expected to work with the Operational Lead Superintendent to optimise patient experience and flow as well as deliver best-value, deputising in their absence.
