We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic Team Leader/Medical Secretary with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to provide effective leadership and support to the neurology admin team, as well as Consultants and their team within a clinical unit at Princess Royal University Hospital.

You will be required, with the support of the Service Managers and Assistant Service Managers, to monitor and review patient pathways and care and/or treatment progress using the Patient Tracking List in line with Trust and local policies. You should be hard-working and dedicated to providing the best service possible for our patients. In return we will offer training and support in your new role with possible opportunity to develop parts of your own interest in other areas of the hospital.

The successful candidate will have experience in the delivery and management of waiting lists and Referral to Treatment (RTT) targets.

The successful candidate will have a real interest in the development of their own role, in line with the day-to-day needs of the service. Together with good interpersonal skills the candidate will be able to manage, deal and provide information and advice to patients and relatives where appropriate, relating to admissions and appointments.
