We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic Medical Secretary/ Pathway Coordinator with excellent secretarial and interpersonal skills to provide an effective administrative and secretarial service to a Consultant/s and their team within a clinical unit at Princess Royal University Hospital.
You will be required, with the support of the Service Managers and Assistant Service Managers, to monitor and review patient care and/or treatment progress using the Patient Tracking List in line with Trust and local policies. You should be hard-working and dedicated to providing the best service possible for our patients. In return we will offer you training and support in your new role with possible opportunity to develop parts of their own interest in other areas of the hospital.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the delivery and management of waiting lists and Referral to Treatment (RTT) targets.
The successful candidate will have a real interest in the development of their own role, in line with the day-to-day needs of the service. Together with good interpersonal skills the candidate will be able to manage, deal and provide information and advice to patients and relatives where appropriate relating to admissions and appointments.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
