An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dedicated, friendly and supportive team on the Critical Care Unit at the Princess Royal University Hospital.
The Critical Care Unit is a purpose built 10-bedded facility which delivers specialist intensive care for critically ill medical and surgical patients. This provides staff working within the unit to experience a range of opportunities and a variety of interesting experiences
Critical Care Support Workers play a vital role within the multi-disciplinary team supporting the team to deliver quality critical care services. The role includes: maintenance of stock levels, equipment and supplies, assistance with the admission and discharge of patients and supporting the Registered Nurse to provide elements of basic nursing care and rehabilitation. Daily cleaning to maintain strict infection control measures is also an essential element of the role.
The role requires you to work long days, with internal rotation to night shifts and includes weekends. This is an ideal role for those wishing to pursue a career in the NHS at a Trust that is committed to supporting all staff in their personal and professional development.
