The Department of ENT at the Princess Royal University Hospital, a division of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is looking for enthusiastic and committed ENT Surgeon.

The Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), at Farnborough Common, Orpington, Kent is an acute district general hospital. It has 525 funded beds, and approximately 80,000 emergency attendances per annum. It serves a population of about 500,000 from Bromley and Bexley.
The services currently provided include: Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Acute and General medicine with sub-specialities including Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Acute Frailty Unit, Elderly Care , Intensive Care, Oncology, Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Maternity and Paediatrics, Hyper acute and Acute Stroke services for provided for the South East Sector of London. The PRUH is a Level 2 Trauma Unit and a member of the TARN.

The hospital is based in outer South East London in the London Borough of Bromley. The area provides fast public transport links into central London via mainline railway connections. The borough is a highly sought after area due to it many well-regarded primary and secondary schools .Bromley is a key leisure and retail destination within South London and regularly appears in the list of the annual top 50 places to live in the UK. It is also on the borders of the North Kent Downs and Sevenoaks Weald – areas of outstanding natural beauty. Road links are particularly strong to Surrey and Kent. There is access to the M25 via the A21 and the national motorway network onwards from Junction 5.Therefore city living or country retreats are all accessible for you and your family.
The appointee will join the ENT Head & Neck Service which comprises of a team of three Consultant Surgeons, an Associate specialist, 2 middle grade Trust doctors, a Specialist Registrar, appointed on the S.E Thames Regional rotation. There are a total of 6 Junior Doctors (FY2, ST3(or higher) and Clinical Fellows) to support the department.
Applicants should have comprehensive experience in the general ENT service with a particular interest in Otology. The successful candidate must be on the Specialist Register with the GMC or be within three months of obtaining CCST.
The service includes emergency and elective work, for both adults and children. The department has many areas of special interest including voice, head and neck, rhinology and ear disease
There will be an average of 8.5 Programmed Activities of Direct Clinical Care, with the remainder being allocated for Supporting Professional and/or other Activities. The successful applicant will contribute to the 1:8 night/weekend on-call rota.
The post holder will participate in a 1:3 on call rota and will be working across PRUH Hospital where the emergency, elective procedures take place and outpatient services take place and some clinic activities will be based at Beckenham Beacon.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
