PRUH (Princess Royal University Hospital) is part of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, King’s Health Partners and King’s College London Cardiovascular Institute and Network Hospitals. The PRUH Echocardiography Department and the Denmark Hill Echocardiography Department form the King’s College Hospital Echocardiography Department and hold Advanced European Laboratory Accreditation in TTE, TOE and Stress Echocardiography. The Department is continuously growing and it is in the process of preparing for BSE and iQips accreditation.

In addition to TTE, TOE and Stress Echocardiography, the PRUH Echocardiography Department performs all type of modern echocardiography techniques and specialized echocardiography – 3D echocardiography, Doppler Myocardial Imaging, contrast echocardiography, bubbles study. Stress echocardiography comprises Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Echo, Diastolic Stress Echo and Valve Stress Echo. The Echocardiography Clinical Lead, Dr Madalina Garbi is a nationally and internationally renowned echocardiography and valves expert and the Lead for Education and Training in Echocardiography for the South London Deanery.

The current position is an excellent opportunity for an Echocardiographer holding BSE or EACVI accreditation to join this dynamic department and achieve personal development and expertise in all aspects of echocardiography with the support of the entire team. The post holder will work closely with the Principal Cardiac Physiologist in Echocardiography and with the Echocardiography Clinical Lead and will be encouraged to lead in an area of interest.
