The Department of Anaesthesia at the Princess Royal University Hospital, a division of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is looking for an enthusiastic and committed anaesthetist to join our friendly and progressive team.
The Princess Royal University Hospital is inviting applications for an enthusiastic Specialty Doctor, to join us on a permanent basis. The post will be 10+2 PAs, including on-call commitment. The post is part of a 1:8 rota, providing resident on call cover including long days and nights for ITU/Obstetrics. Standard days will be spent in main theatre and day surgery. The ITU is currently recruiting into an additional tier within its rota, which will provide appropriate support to ITU.
This post is designed to provide additional assistance to the department and you will be required to work independently managing your list/patients, but with consultants on duty supporting where necessary. You should also have experience in working on the ICU and the Labour ward independently.
One session will be allocated for audit and study leave allowance of up to 10 days per annum.
The Princess Royal University Hospital has 525 beds with further beds at Orpington Hospital, serving the local population of the London Borough of Bromley and surrounding areas. The hospitals are based in in leafy suburban town of Orpington, a highly sought after location due to its close proximity to many well-regarded primary, secondary and Grammar schools in addition to restaurants, cafes and bars. It is minutes away from Bromley town centre which has extensive retail and leisure facilities and regularly appears in the list of the annual top 50 places to live in the UK. The Kent Countryside is in close proximity offering peace and quiet and recreational activities. Many staff live in the local area, enhancing the community spirit within the hospitals. For those who live further afield, the area is served by fast rail links to central London and a good local bus service in addition to being 20 minutes’ drive from the M25.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
