King's College Hospital is an NHS foundation Trust with an excellent reputation for high quality patient care and staff development opportunities. The hospital is a major teaching hospital at the forefront of academic and nursing excellence. We offer a wide range of general and specialist services and provide an environment that is at times challenging but highly rewarding.
Katherine Monk is the designated major trauma ward within King’s College Hospital and is an acute, dynamic and rewarding environment to work in. We treat a wide range of patients and therefore there are great opportunities to learn.
An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic nurse to join the team on Katherine Monk Ward. The successful candidate will work alongside the Ward Manager in supporting the wider members of the team to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to all of our patients.
You must demonstrate experience in surgery or an acute setting; have a positive attitude, show professionalism, integrity, determination and dedication in everything you do. You must have the ability to promote patient centred care and establish good relationships with patients, carers and the wider multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate effective caseload management and leadership skills in order to deliver a high standard of care to our patients. To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team and be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff/ward manager.
If you are passionate about delivering the highest standards of care to your patients, and would like to work in a friendly and dynamic team, this department provides a fantastic opportunity and we would welcome your application.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
