Junior Sister/Specialist Nurse – Band 6 – Full time Permanent – Camberwell Sexual Health Centre.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of junior sister/junior charge nurse in the Sexual Health Intervention and Prevention Team. The position will be based mainly at Camberwell Sexual Health Clinic. This role will provide line management and leadership to the band 4’s result administrator team and junior nursing team. You will also be required to provide targeted sexual health intervention and promotion to at risk groups. You will need to demonstrate your leadership skills and have a pro-active and flexible approach. In conjunction with the Senior Sister you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain excellent standards of nurse delivered care and lead on ensuring first class patient experience. The departments at Camberwell Sexual Health Centre and Beckenham Beacon provide a full range of sexual health and contraceptive services seeing in excess of 37,000 patient attendances per year.
To fulfil this role you should have consolidated experience and proven clinical competency in Sexual and Reproductive Health. You will have had some experience of managing a team, or are keen to develop your line management skills. You must have good communication skills. You will be well organised, resilient and able to meet the challenges and demands of a busy and diverse clinical service.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate high standards in clinical care and have the ability to improve quality and patient satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to build on and develop your leadership/management skills in a supportive environment.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
