This Department of Sexual Health & HIV is one of London's leading integrated contraceptive and sexual health services seeing more than 50,000 clients a year in our busy walk-in and specialist appointment clinics over two sites, Denmark Hill and Beckenham Beacon. The department comprises of a Sexual Health and HIV Centre for King's College Hospital. This is a purpose built facility offering a full range of open-access, walk-in sexual health services and the management of sexually transmitted infections. The department serves an ethnically diverse inner city population.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Junior Sister/Junior Charge Nurse. The position will be based mainly at Camberwell Sexual Health Centre with some cross working at the Beckenham Beacon Sexual Health Clinic. This role will provide line management and leadership to the nursing and client support worker team. In conjunction with the Senior Sister you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain excellent standards of nurse delivered care and lead on ensuring first class patient experience.
To fulfil this role you will have consolidated experience and proven clinical competency in Sexual and Reproductive Health. You will have had some experience of managing a team, or are keen to develop your line management skills. You must have good communication skills. You will be well organised, resilient and able to meet the challenges and demands of a busy and diverse clinical service.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate high standards in clinical care and have the ability to improve quality and patient satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to build on and develop your leadership/management skills in a supportive environment.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
