Kings College Hospitals NHS Trust has a vacancy for an experienced Reproductive Sexual health/HIV Nurse to lead the education, research and practice development agendas for the Sexual Health and HIV departments. This is a full time, permanent position.

The successful candidate will be a visible, proactive role-model in the clinical environment. The post is fundamental in providing assurance of standards, leading the education provision and driving change forward.

You will support the nursing and clinical support worker teams in achievement of clinical competencies and skills, and further development. You will need to participate in on-going education programmes and identify training needs relevant to sexual health and HIV. You will also provide leadership and support for research activities at the Camberwell Sexual Health centre. You will act as the lead for promoting and monitoring clinical supervision for staff and participate in conducting clinical audits when required.

The role also supports the workforce development and the implementation of new initiatives as well as being a strong, articulate voice and advocate for the Sexual Health and HIV departments within the wider Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic person with significant experience of clinical practice, leadership and education in the reproductive sexual health/HIV setting who will lead the development and advancement of the implementation of evidence-based knowledge into practice. Experience of project management would be an advantage.

You need to be a qualified nurse with a minimum of 4 years post registration experience and a proven track record of involvement in staff development.
