King’s Renal Unit – Junior Charge Nurse/Team Leader –Renal Inpatient Services

Due to vacancy within our renal inpatient services, we are looking for a Junior Charge Nurse/Team leader to join us. You will be working within a team of a senior charge nurse/Unit Manager and 5 existing junior charge nurses.  You will be involved in providing the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised, holistic patient care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced band 5 nurse to utilise and enhance their teaching skills, leadership qualities, time management, and independent working.

As a junior charge nurse/Team leader, we are looking for a registered nurse with at least 3 years’ experience at band 5 in a renal inpatient setting.  You should be able to act as a mentor to band 5, HCAs, and responsible for the orientation, supervision and ongoing development of allocated staff members and student nurses, in conjunction with Unit Manager and Practice Development staff. You should possess excellent communication skills, have some degree of managerial, leadership skills and evidence of change management and personal organisation skills.
