Kings College Hospital London has a worldwide reputation as a Centre of Excellence and we are seeking a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated Service Manager to manage, lead and inspire the Post-Acute and Planned Medicine (PAPM) Care Group at Kings College Hospital London. This is an exciting role as the post holder will also deputise the General Manager in ensuring clinical/quality/financial and operational performance.

The Care Group consists of various medical specialties and other specialist services such as Bowel Cancer Screening, the Havens. and Sexual Health/HIV services.

As the Service Manager for PAPM, you will be operationally responsible for the operational management of all specialties, be expected to actively contribute to service development, policies and strategies and identify opportunities to make improvements to the day to day running of the Care Group. You will work collaboratively with the Matrons with shared accountability for the management of the department including leading, motivating and supervising a multidisciplinary team of qualified and support staff, undertaking human resource management, budget management, business planning and development, audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, plus risk analysis. Your role will therefore be key in supporting the Senior Management Team; Consultant Physicians, Clinical Leads, Heads of Nursing and other members of the MDT in the management of the medical specialties.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good level of IT literacy. Attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks is essential. You will also possess strong managerial, personnel and leadership skills that are integral to this role.
