The Physiotherapy service have re-designed to provide a new role of Level 3 Apprentice. The post is based at Denmark Hill site, providing rehabilitation across the wards where patients have had surgery.
As a Level 3 Apprentice, the successful candidate will participate in comprehensive supervision and training with a strong focus on self-development. We are looking for a candidate who has a real interest in working with people with rehabilitation needs in an in-patient hospital setting and who is also keen to develop themselves. You will need to be able to work in a team of assistants, Physiotherapists, other Allied Health Professionals, Doctors, Nurses and a range of other support staff, whilst putting patients at the centre of all care.
King’s College Hospital has a large Therapy department with over 400 therapists from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Nutrition & Dietetics. Each service is organised under a Head of Profession with a Director of Therapies heading up the service and representing Therapies across the Trust. The department has a well-established provision of education and training, supervision and appraisal, ensuring that all staff have opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge and to reach their full potential.
As part of the apprenticeship programme you will be required to undertake the following training which will be provided by the organisation:
- Level 3 Diploma in Allied Health Profession Support
- Functional Skills in Maths & English at Level 2
- Onsite placement within Therapies
More details about the apprenticeship will be provided at a Values based session where all shortlisted applicants will be expected to attend. You will have the opportunity to meet the manager on this day and ask questions about the role and responsibilities.
The Values session will be held at Denmark Hill site on Tuesday 8th January 2019.
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 9th January 2019.
