We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated consultant to join our department to cover maternity leave for a substantive consultant. This will initially be for a period of 6 months. The successful candidate is expected to provide facial trauma and deformity surgery services and a special interest in minimally invasive salivary gland surgery would be desirable.  The successful candidate will cover out patient clinics, day-stay and inpatient oral and maxillofacial surgery, and will participate in the on-call rota. 

The successful candidate will be expected to be skilled and confident enough to cover the whole range of the specialty at consultant level including on-call on a 1:8 basis together with a dually qualified SpR grade and a junior colleague with a dental or a medical degree.

A UK registerable dental degree and registration on the GMC Specialist Register in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or within 6 months of eligibility for inclusion and the possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CST in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are mandatory.
