Band 7 Radiographer Neuroradiology

Hours: 37.5

A vacancy has arisen for a Band 7 radiographer in the neuroradiology department of this London teaching hospital, which provides neurosciences services to the region.

A specialised department within Radiology, we are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated radiographer to provide strong clinical skills, leadership and teaching. As a neuroradiographer, you will work in MRI but also in other neuro modalities. MRI expertise is essential and CT or angiography experience is desirable.

You will carry out specialised MRI such as advanced tumour imaging, perfusion scanning, spectroscopy and functional imaging.  King’s is a major trauma centre and a hyper-acute stroke centre, and our CT service reflects the challenges this brings with it.  Your angiography skills will develop as you become an integral part of the team participating in interventional neurovascular treatment.

At Band 7 level it is expected that you will manage the day-to-day modality workload, working within the multi-modality team and liaising with internal and external service users to provide an efficient and patient-focused service. You will take a lead in developing and implementing new practices.

This is a progressive department which supports the development of each individual team member. You will gain from the experience of a dynamic clinical practice in this busy tertiary centre.  You will also participate in research and have internal and external CPD opportunities, including post-graduate education.

If you are enthusiastic, dynamic and keen to be involved in the future of multi-modality imaging services, King’s neuroradiology department has the job for you.
