Band 4 Divisional Secretary\Recruitment Administrator

Are you an experienced and proficient administrator with secretarial experience with an interest in recruitment processes? If so then we may have the right challenge for you. You will work collaboratively with other team members and be responsible for providing a secretarial and administrative service to the Department’s senior leaders.

The role will have a focus, but will not be limited to, the recruitment of junior doctors and nurses for the senior leaders. You will also have responsibility for the secretarial support to specified managers and for supporting certain meetings.

You must have strong computer skills, with experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher or similar applications to a proficient standard and you will have a typing speed of 50 wpm with a great eye for detail (as your application form will confirm).

Previous experience of recruitment in the NHS would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will be able to work well using your own initiative, cope well under pressure and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels within the organisation to be successful as an integral part of the team. Good time management and a positive professional approach are essential. The successful candidate must be able to prioritise their own workload and will require a flexible approach to their duties whilst also being methodical in the administrative tasks around recruitment.

There is more information in the Job Description and Person Specification, so please make sure you read them properly before applying and detail how you meet the essential criteria on the person specification in your application. This information will be used during the shortlisting process.

Please note that the closing date of 10th June 2018 given is a guide as we reserve the right to close this vacancy when we have received sufficient applications, so we advise you to submit your application as early as possible to prevent disappointment.

Only those candidates who clearly demonstrate they meet the person specification will be short listed for this role and invited to interview.
