The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and individual to join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers at Kings College Hospital. MEMS provide a comprehensive service to the Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to develop and support its Medical Device Management Policy. This includes managing the equipment lifecycle, medical equipment training, medical engineering, and operating the Medical Equipment Library. We are a department of 22 including engineers, scientists and administration staff, and support over 10,000 medical devices.
The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) in Orpington.
Working within the Equipment Library team at the Denmark Hill site, this role is to assist in the provision of the equipment library and support service.
You will need to be a team player who is eager to learn, as well as being able to work alone. Knowledge and/or experience of medical equipment and medical equipment management are desirable. Flexibility is essential to accommodate the constantly changing demands of a very busy service.
You will have good written and verbal skills and be able to communicate clearly. You must be computer literate and experience of using a medical equipment management database is desirable.
