Band 6 Junior Sisters

An exciting opportunity has arisen on Todd and Howard ward for a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse (Band 6).

Todd Ward is a 21-bedded ward focuses primarily on transplantation hence works collaboratively with the Liver ICU. Due to our client group (pre transplant and post transplant) we provide an atmosphere for nurses to experience both medical and surgical nursing skills.

Howard Ward is a 16-bedded ward focusing primarily on General Hepatology but also cares for patients post liver transplantation and Hepatobilary surgery. Due to this client group we provide an atmosphere for nurses to experience both medical and surgical nursing skills.

This is an ideal opportunity to develop team leadership skills for an experienced Band 5 nurse. Experience in Liver nursing is not essential, as we will support you to gain the required specialist knowledge.  This job offers the opportunity to develop your management skills through leading a team of nurses and deputising for the Ward Manager. Supported by the Ward Manager the Matron and the Practice Development Team, we are offering you the chance to team-lead and work with a team committed to developing and delivering the best possible care and support to patients and their families. There are extensive educational resources to drive your continuing professional development.
