There is an opportunity to join the department of Clinical Gerontology at King’s College Hospital Denmark Hill, in a fixed-term part-time consultant practitioner post.

The focus of this role is to strengthen and lead the non-medical clinical service within the gerontology across the Trust and to introduce new ways of working, including the development of extended practice. This post will involve working clinically within the frailty pathway. The post holder will demonstrate a high degree of personal professional autonomy and make clinical judgements of the highest order. They will play a lead role in service development within the frailty pathway and inform development at a national level. The post requires at least 50% direct patient care and a combination of professional consultancy, education and training, service development, research and audit.

The role is open to appropriately qualified nurses or allied health professionals.
