We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Endoscopist to join our team of Gastroenterologists with 10 programmed activities (PAs) and become part of the Kings Bowel Cancer Screening programme as an accredited Bowel Cancer Screening Consultant.
Kings Endoscopy department is fully JAG accredited and hosts the Kings Bowel Cancer screening centre at the Denmark Hill.
The JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit is a state-of-the-art four-roomed facility with GA and fluoroscopy as well as full teaching, video capture and broadcast facilities with a training centre for hands-on courses. We enjoy close collaboration with Industry and often trial new equipment and consumables as a reference centre. We host visiting fellows from Europe and the Far East. There is a strong research interest with commercial, NIHR-funded, and investigator-led studies on-going.
The Bowel Cancer Screening programme has evolved over the years including the creation of Kings Bowel Cancer Screening centre in 2016 (having split from South East London screening centre), the implementation of Bowel scope screening at and the soon to be implemented FIT testing in summer 2019.
We are therefore seeking highly motivated, innovative, experienced and enthusiastic Gastroenterologist who wants to join our friendly teams, wants to make a difference and wants to support the continued development of the service.
Within this role you will be one of a team who are committed to improving the patient pathway to promote and deliver high standards of patient care, outcomes, experience, safety and quality.
Your application and interview will demonstrate the skill set needed to join us in delivering, developing and teaching expert care within this exciting and challenging speciality.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
