The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, individual to join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers. MEMS provides a comprehensive service to the Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to develop and support its Medical Device Management Policy. This includes managing the equipment lifecycle, medical equipment training, medical engineering, and operating the Medical Equipment Library.
You will need to be a team player eager to learn and have electronics knowledge to degree level or equivalent. Knowledge and/or experience of medical equipment and medical equipment management is desirable. You will be expected to undertake training and development in order to become eligible to become a Member of the Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists (VRCT). Flexibility is essential to accommodate the constantly changing demands of a very busy service.
You will have good written and verbal skills and be able to communicate clearly. You must be computer literate and experience of using a medical equipment management database is desirable. As is knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines.
