Modernising Medicine is a major strategic project to transform the way we deliver acute and general medicine services at Denmark Hill. The programme involves over £3m investment in staffing alone as well as a significant capital investment in the hospital estates and infrastructure.
We have a range of opportunities and welcome dynamic candidates who are keen to shape new models of care through the Modernising Medicine programme, building upon areas of good practice at King’s and drawing on innovative practices at a regional and a national level. You will join an expanding team of multidisciplinary professionals to support senior clinical decision-making throughout our medical pathway. The successful candidate will join and support a friendly and engaged team of consultants with responsibility for the immediate medical care of patients.
The Department of Endocrinology is seeking two (10 PAs) Consultant Endocrinologist based at Denmark Hill site with expertise in the peri-operative and post-operative management of bariatric surgery recipients.
The post-holder would be expected to carry out specialist ward rounds per week for endocrine referrals and to be available for advice on a daily basis. The post will include the requirement to contribute to the out-of-hours on call rota and deliver seven-day care. We are an expanding and evolving service, join us and help develop a great clinical, academic and management team.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent to be eligible for interview
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
