King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of c£1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 12,800 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London. The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in the London Borough of Bromley.
We are seeking to employ a highly motivated band 5 dietitian to join our team of 18 acute adult dietitians. As this is a busy and varied caseload, we are looking for a confident dietitian who is organised, self-motivated and ready to take on any challenge with the support of the team.
The successful candidate will work as part of a wider team acute adult team, which provides excellent dietetic care to both in- and out-patients. The post holder will be responsible for a varied caseload that includes cardiac medicine, respiratory medicine, general surgery and ITU step-downs. This post is part of a 9-month rotational post with another Band 5 Dietitian. The post will begin within the medical and neurosciences rotation. The second rotation will be within surgery and gastroenterology and has an outpatient clinic attached.
You will play an integral role in the large, supportive dietetic team at King’s College Hospital. Our dietetics department expects all staff to be involved in the teaching of other healthcare professionals, in line with our mission to provide excellence in clinical care, research and teaching in King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre. We also undertake student training and you would play an active role in student supervision.
