Locum Consultant Cardiologist with a Specialist Interest in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) (and Cardiac CT) based at King’s College Hospital, London.
12 Months Fixed Term Contract
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Cardiologist with full training and accreditation in Cardiac Imaging, especially Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR). The post will support the growing clinical demands for cardiac imaging at King’s College Hospital. The post holder should have a strong academic track record to pursue clinical research and teaching activities within King’s Health Partners. This would ideally suit a talented and ambitious individual who would work alongside the service lead for CMR, Dr Dan Sado, along with other members of the imaging team. The successful candidate should have extensive clinical expertise in all aspects of CMR, with relevant research experience (including a higher degree) and teaching skills. The candidate will also have relevant experience in cardiac CT to support for the growing structural service, and also complement the existing portfolio of imaging expertise within the department.
In addition to holding full GMC registration and MRCP or equivalent, the successful candidate will be in possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within 6 months of this at the time of interview.

The CMR service now receives around 2000 referrals per year with the echocardiography department performing over 20,000 studies per annum and making it one of the busiest imaging services in the UK with state of the art scanning technology and active research and educational programmes.
