The Vascular Laboratory at King’s College Hospital is seeking a dedicated new administrator.

The job is to support a very friendly team of clinical scientists and trainee clinical scientists who perform vascular ultrasound scans for patients of King’s College Hospital. The department sees over 18000 patients per year and we need someone with good eye for detail, enthusiasm for important work and a good ability to interact with people from all corners of the hospital be that patients, porters or consultant surgeons.

The main duties will be co-ordinating the workflow of the lab by ensuring that patient’s appointments are booked to ensure the seamless operation of the lab and the clinical departments that it serves. Meeting and greeting patients as they arrive in the department as well as liaising with wards around the hospital to bring patients here at the right time will be involved.

We use a range of different computer packages so you will need to be comfortable with computers and have the ability to learn these systems with training as required.

Communication and multitasking skills are a must for this role!

The job is 37.5 hours per week; we aim to run the lab 8am till 6pm in the long term so there will be some negotiable flexibility as to the hours worked.
