Band 6 Team Leader – Anaesthetics

Would you like to be part of a multi-professional team of dynamic peri-operative practitioners in Inpatient Theatres at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Bromley, part of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust?
Inpatient theatres at the PRUH, Bromley is made up of 6 theatres and 2 additional obstetric theatres which operate 24 hours a day covering elective and emergency surgery in a variety of specialities.
As a Band 6 anaesthetic practitioner you will:-
provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to both perioperative patients and their relatives
assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of practitioners within the Unit complement
act as a clinical resource within the Department and across the Division as necessary
act as a positive role model to junior staff members
take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of or as delegated by the Senior Nurse/ Service Manager
You will be a registered RN(1) or ODP with the ability to demonstrate recent clinical experience at Band 5. The perioperative course is desirable. You must also have the mentorship course and the skills to develop, support and manage the performance of junior staff and students.
In turn we will offer you the ability to advance your skills and aim to provide you with a high standard of training both in the clinical area through our practice development team and through our Kings Partners higher education institutions.
This is a full time post.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
