Are you interested in issues related to Women’s health? Would you like to be part of a team caring for women undergoing scheduled and emergency gynaecological surgery?

S8 is a 16 bedded ward caring for women undergoing elective and emergency gynaecological surgery. Our inpatient length of stay averages 1.9 days. Our staffing ratios are set at 1.5 ensuring that you can deliver holistic and evidence based care in a supportive environment. Opportunities for continuing professional development exist with our close academic ties to Kings College London.

If you want to come and learn about caring for women with a variety of gynaecological health issues then S8 can offer you a caring and proactive place to work. The ward staff can support you if you are a newly qualified nurse with our practice development team and preceptorship programme or if you are an experienced nurse who would like a change of speciality.
