Team Leader Occupational Therapist (Stroke) King’s College Hospital has a large Therapy department spanning across different sites. The department has a well established tradition of supervision and appraisal, which ensures all staff are given opportunities to develop skills and knowledge and to reach their full potential. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Occupational Therapy Stroke team at the PRUH site.Our service has recently expanded to incorporate a seven day service.
Alongside the Clinical Lead you will be responsible for leading the OT team providing a service to 14 hyper-acute and 26 stroke unit beds. This post offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive, friendly and learning environment created by the established multi-disciplinary team. With proven clinical skills in the management of stroke patients with acute and rehabilitation needs, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to teach and develop more junior staff and students. Working in a department, which offers a wide range of experience, you will be encouraged and supported to develop your clinical, teaching, and managerial skills as well as contribute towards service development.
You will be part of a well-structured CPD program and responsible for wider service level projects with access to relevant MDT in-service training programs. You must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.
