Now that the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) Bromley, in South East London, is on-board with King’s, it is a magnificent opportunity to join a growing organisation that is investing in its’ frontline staff. If you are looking for an organisation that prioritises patients and staff, and where you can become part of a local family, then don’t look any further ….. King’s at PRUH is for you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 Nurses to join our well established team within the Respiratory department at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.
We are looking for highly motivated nurses, in the possession of strong clinical knowledge and a relevant skill set. The post holder will work on one of three respiratory wards at the PRUH, and there will be opportunities to rotate to the other two wards.
Medical 1 is a specialist 12-bedded level 1 facility that specialises in the management of non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care and chest drains. Medical 2 is a 20-bedded, acute respiratory ward focusing on COPD/Asthma management, while Farnborough ward is comprised of 25 single rooms and offers successful candidates the opportunity to develop coordinator and ward management skills.
Excellent communication is essential and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate and sustain new innovative ways of working which facilitate developments in nursing practice. Experience of being in charge and developing others is also essential.
The post holder will act as a positive role model in the promotion of quality care delivery for acutely unwell medical patients within our wards, committed to improving service delivery and be flexible to the needs of the service.
We will support the right candidates in furthering their career, offering opportunities to undertake accredited respiratory and high dependency courses, and ensure these pathways are supported and coordinated by our Practice Development team.
Furthermore, we will be implementing an innovative band 6 development programme that will provide successful candidates with supported pathways, tailored to individual preference, and geared towards producing the next generation of ward managers, clinical nurse specialists and nurse educators.
