Band 6 Paediatric Short Stay Unit - Junior Sister/Charge Nurse King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in South East London is a large teaching hospital and is at the forefront of academic and nursing excellence. We are looking to recruit a band 6 junior sister/ charge nurse for our Paediatric Short stay Unit in the Variety Children’s Hospital @ Kings Paediatric Short Stay is a 6 bedded unit which works closely with the paediatric emergency department and also takes referrals from local GPs. Children are admitted for up to 48 hours for acute medical and surgical illnesses. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic band 6 paediatric nurse. We offer a competency based framework of development with support from our practice development team. We can offer you excellent educational opportunities from in house study courses to post graduate education through Kings College London University and London South Bank University. As a role model within the ward team, you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and leadership abilities. You must also have the proven ability to support and mentor others. It is essential that you are able to prioritise and manage your own workload whilst supporting your nursing team and ward senior sister.
