Frailty Assessment Unit – Acute Medicine

An Opportunity has arisen to join the team on the New Frailty Assessment Unit situated at Kings College Hospital.
We are looking to employ registered nurse with elderly care experience who wish to be involved in improving care for frail patients. The Frailty Assessment Unit is an 8 bedded assessment unit for those patients who meet a specific assessment criteria.

Nurses involved in care on the unit will assess, implement and evaluate care needs for frail patients in order to facilitate early discharge and ensure care in the right place. A detailed education and training programme has been designed to enhance nurse skills working within the unit. The Frailty Assessment unit is supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team, with a named consultant geriatrician and AHP consultant.


This is an ideal opportunity to be involved with the development of the Frailty Assessment Unit and to help re shape the pathway for the frailty patients within the attachment area of Kings College Hospital.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated, energetic individuals who have excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high quality, patient focused care.
