Are you driven, enthusiastic and looking for a career working with cardiothoracic patients? Could you lead a team of highly motivated nurses, working alongside the Ward Managers and Matron to maintain high standards and excellent care? Then this could be the job for you! The opportunity has arisen to work as an inspirational Band 6 on our cardiothoracic ward, Victoria and Albert ward, to lead a team of highly motivated nurses to deliver the best quality patient focused care. Victoria and Albert ward is an 18 bedded cardiothoracic ward caring for a range of patients with complex needs including aortic dissection, aortic root surgery, a range of valve procedures, cardiac bypass grafting and minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic surgery. Additionally the ward will provide care for cardiology patients undergoing emergency procedures.
Working as an integral member of the team the post holder will have the opportunity to further expand their own clinical knowledge and expertise as well as developing their managerial skills, participating in the day to day running of the ward, providing expert clinical support and supporting the development of the junior members of staff.
We would welcome applications from individuals with 2 years post registration experience, the mentorship preparation module or equivalent, experience in the field of cardio- thoracic is desirable.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
