Newly Qualified and Experienced Nurses – Acute Medicine – DH site

In July, we will be restructuring the ward areas to create an Ambulatory & Assessment area where clinical care, assessment, diagnosis and treatment can be provided. Patients will be admitted and referred via emergency department and their local GPs, they are then seen by the multi-disciplinary team for initial assessment and treatment prior to a decision being made to observe, admit or discharge home.

In our AMU we will admit patients directly from Emergency Department and the new Ambulatory & Assessment unit with the aim to provide a high standard, patient centred care whilst maintaining the flow of patients through the units.

You will work closely with our dedicated acute medical team to deliver highly specialised clinical to include monitored bays, Non-invasive therapy (NIV), and timely transfer and discharges of our patients. As a valued member of staff you are key to delivering high quality patient care and role modelling to junior staff. We have a strong focus on quality right across the organisation and we are looking for Nurses who will share our vision of delivering first class care driven by our Trust values.

Join us and you’ll enjoy the support of a thoroughly committed team.

Please contact Matron Denise Andrews via email at denise.andrews1@nhs.net and before the closing date to discuss the role further or to arrange an informal visit. Informal visits are only offered to shortlisted candidates.
