King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in South East London is a large teaching hospital and is at the forefront of academic and nursing excellence. We are looking to recruit a band 6 junior Sister for Toni and Guy ward in the Variety Children’s Hospital @ Kings

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a diverse team on a 15 bedded medical ward with specialist interest in Respiratory including CF, Sleep service and NIV, Haematology and shared care Oncology services whilst continuing to deliver General Paediatric services to our diverse local community.

Toni & Guy accept both direct access Oncology patients, elective/ planned admissions and acute patients directly from the emergency department. We have established links with both the Children’s Community Nursing Teams as well as a unique “Paediatric Hospital @ Home” service offering ongoing care and treatment in the Childs home.

As a junior sister you will work closely with ward manager and the multidisciplinary team in developing this specialty through innovative and forward thinking ways. This exciting opportunity requires a confident, dynamic children’s nurse to support the ward manager to lead and manage the nursing team. As a junior, sister you will be able to influence further developments and improvements within this service in conjunction with the current senior team.

You must be a registered children’s nurse with extensive clinical experience within a comparable Paediatric setting. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to work independently and also as part of a team.

In return you can expect excellent support and encouragement for personal and professional development.
