SPECIALIST IN PAEDIATRIC DENTISTRY (Band C)

 

Applications are invited for a substantive 0.60 WTE Specialist post in Paediatric Dentistry in the Department of Community Special Care Dentistry at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent team-working qualities and will be expected to play an active role in the development, provision and delivery of oral health care to a wide range of patients who require paediatric dentistry in both community and hospital settings in South West London. Major areas of paediatric dentistry at King’s include the provision of oral health care in the community from 12 locations in South West London and the provision of dental treatment under day stay general anaesthesia for paediatric patients from 2 hospital sites (Croydon & Kingston). Together with departmental colleagues you will be expected to forge links with other departments within the Trust and with external agencies to develop appropriate services for patients with complex needs. In addition you will be required to make an active contribution to the Department whilst also having a commitment to teaching and training of junior staff. You will also be expected to contribute to continuing education, clinical governance, audit and research. You must have full registration with the General Dental Council and be eligible for appointment as a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry by being on the Specialist list in Paediatric Dentistry.  

 

Interviews are expected to be held on the 4th October 2018.
