Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in South East London is a large teaching hospital at the forefront of academic and nursing excellence. At the heart of Kings is the Variety Children’s Hospital (VCH) offering a wide range of services and specialties for children and young people at local, regional and tertiary levels.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking children’s nurse to work as part of the Child Health Practice Development Team working across our inpatient wards and ambulatory areas. During this secondment you will be able to further develop your leadership and management skills as well as gain and insight into the strategic working of the Variety Children’s Hospital
Child Health believes in the development of the professional practitioner accountable for holistic nursing care i.e. the development of knowledgeable nursing practice that is evidence based, through facilitation of staff development, in order to promote continuous quality improvement reflected in patient care.
You must show evidence of your clinical expertise and be passionate about supporting nursing staff in developing their skills and knowledge. You must be RSCN or RN (Child) and have ENB 998/Mentorship qualification or equivalent. You should also provide evidence of the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
