The Liver service at King’s College Hospital is one of the busiest in Europe and is the forefront of many innovative treatments for liver disease. We are the supra-regional and international treatment referral centre for liver transplants and hepatobiliary surgery.
We have three operating theatres and the service includes being the NORs team for multi organ retrievals in the South East, adult and paediatric liver transplantation, liver trauma and Hepatobiliary surgery. You are expected to participate in the on call rota to scrub or as a donor technician for multi organ retrievals, in liver transplantation and emergencies as part of your rotation.
At King’s we pride ourselves on the delivery of high standards of patient care. We are in search of practitioners who care about providing the highest standard of preoperative care to their patients and who have a genuine interest in developing their existing skills.
King’s is an excellent place for you to continue to develop your existing scrub, circulating and anaesthetics skills. We provide a supportive consolidation period for all our new starters.
To be eligible for a band 5 scrub position, you must be a Registered Nurse/HCA with substantial vascular and major abdominal scrub experience.
Please apply on line either through the King’s website or the NHS jobs website. Only applications on-line will be accepted. An application form, job description and King’s-specific information can be downloaded from either the King’s website or the NHS Jobs Website
