King’s College Hospital wants to invest in you. Are you looking for a career in intensive care nursing?

If so, here at King’s we are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 registered nurses who are seeking to start their critical care career. We have four critical care units at King’s (Denmark Hill site), and we provide specialist care across all specialities for critically ill medical and surgical patients. This includes liver, neurosurgery, neurology, trauma, orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiothoracic, cardiology, renal and haematology. A new purpose built and state of the art 60 bedded critical care unit is due to open in 2018, so these are very exciting times to join.

We are keen to hear from registered nurses who are able to demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach, and who want to join a motivated, friendly and supportive ICU team that values each other. We don’t require previous experience in ICU/critical care, but it is essential that all applicants have a minimum of 6 months post registration experience in an acute medical or surgical setting.

Our practice development team delivers an excellent supernumerary orientation and induction programme for all new starters, and all candidates will participate in our well established ICU developmental pathway programme. This includes the opportunity to undertake critical care modules and further qualifications at King’s College London. King's College Hospital is situated in South East London and provides comprehensive health care and emergency services for a diverse community. It is also one of London’s four major trauma centres covering the South East of England. With over 1,400 beds and 11,500 staff across various sites, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (King’s) is one of the largest and busiest hospital trusts in London, with a well-established national and international reputation for clinical excellence, innovation and achievement.
