We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented individual to lead the provision of Financial Services at the Trust. Reporting to the Associate Chief Financial Officer, the post of Financial Controller is a senior post within the Finance Department, responsible for leading, managing and developing the activities of the Financial Accounting and Financial Services functions.

The post is the Trust’s reference point for advanced specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of the accepted standards of accounting practices and the financial accounting requirements of the Trust’s NHS regulator (NHS Improvement) and will lead the development and implementation of financial services policies for the Trust. This role will include the production of statutory annual accounts and regulatory financial returns.

The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified and will have previous experience within a similar role. The post-holder must be flexible and able to balance competing priorities for their time and that of their department, while also being available to support colleagues across the Trust.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a senior Finance team during a time of considerable challenge and to contribute to the development and opportunities that exist both now and in the future.
