The Cardiac Catheter Lab at King’s College Hospital consists of four labs including a new hybrid lab, 2 recovery areas and 2 day case bays, with all our nurses having the opportunity to work in each of these areas. We are currently looking for a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, Band 6, to join our friendly and patient centred team.

We are a busy tertiary centre carrying out a wide range of procedures including structural heart; coronary intervention; Electrophysiology and 24 hour primary angioplasty service.

Also an innovative centre being part of the Kings Health Partners, participating in pioneering procedures such as coronary sinus reducer stenting and shock wave.  We work closely with a dynamic research department making the Cath lab an interesting and exciting place to work.

We provide a 24 hour on call service for cardiac emergencies and as a member of the Cath lab team you will be expected to work towards and become part of the on call rota.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cardiology Nurse to join our cohesive an ever developing department.  Ideally you will have Cardiac Catheter Lab experience and are now looking to take the next step in your Cath Lab career.  The role itself involves being team leader of a group of band 5 nurses, being a role model, developing their knowledge and skills. Excellent communication skills to ensure seamless patient care; Co-ordinating of the department, as well as working closely with our friendly and motivated multidisciplinary team members. You must be motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high quality patient care.  In return we offer support, training to develop further management skills. The role also involves deputising  when the managers are away.
