Senior Practice Development Nurse- Corporate Practice Development Team,  PRUH and South Sites

12 months FTC to start 1st June 2018- 31st May 2019 (Post holder must be able to fulfill the full 12 months)

We currently have a 12 month secondment opportunity for a Registered Nurse to lead the Corporate Nursing Practice Development Team. The post holder will work across medical and surgical wards at the Princess Royal University Hospital and south sites.

Applications are invited from Registered Nurses with recent acute nursing experience and relevant up to date clinical skills. We are looking for a candidate who has recent experience in practice development and highly effective organisational and communication skills and the ability to interact with people from a wide variety of professional backgrounds. The post holder will be working to support quality nursing projects and actively drive forward improvements in clinical care standards. Various methods of education and training may be required to implement the quality initiatives including teaching and supporting staff in clinical areas as well as classroom based teaching. The post holder will actively participate and contribute to the role and responsibilities of the Practice Development Team, working to ensure clinical practice is continually developed. This is an excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of strategic working within a busy and complex Trust. The successful candidate will function as a valuable member of the Corporate  nursing team with a designated responsibility for leading and  managing the corporate practice development nurses and the training and development within their allocated area of responsibility.

  3. Sign off mentor
  4. First Degree in health related subject or working towards
  5. Teacher or Practice teacher or working towards

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
