Staff Nurse, Band 5 – Discharge Lounge – Princess Royal University Hospital

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with a turnover of nearly £1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 11,500 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London.

The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.

As part of an investment in frontline staff, we are looking to develop and improve our Discharge Lounge service to ensure all our patients receive a high standard of care right up until the moment they leave the hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with excellent communication skills to join the small, but growing team and support the development of this service by providing high quality patient care as required in a warm and welcoming environment.

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse who can develop effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including ward staff, transport providers and patients. Naturally caring and compassionate, you will be instrumental in ensuring patients have a positive experience and are prepared for their onward journey from hospital.
