We currently have exciting opportunities available, for Band 5 Scrub Practitioners in Inpatient Theatres at our Princess Royal University Hospital site.
Inpatient theatres consists of 8 theatres, 2 specialising in obstetrics and the remainder specialising in ENT, general surgery, gynaecology, urology, trauma and orthopaedics. It has a 12-bedded recovery unit for patients post-surgery.
We are looking for motivated, dedicated staff, with a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. You must be an excellent communicator and have a flexible, pro-active approach as well as the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload.
In turn we will offer you a friendly and modern working environment, a supportive induction programme and the ability to work within a dynamic senior nursing and management team, which is supported by the Divisional Heads of Nursing. We aim to provide you with a high standard of training in the clinical area through our dedicated Practice Development Team who will support your professional development through both in-house programmes and those through our Kings Health Partners higher education institutions. Newly qualified ODP’s will also be supported through the Trust’s preceptorship programme.
These are all full time posts and are subject to internal rotation.
Please note that for;
- Scrub – you must be an NMC registered nurse (RN1) or HCPC registered or soon to be registered ODP. You will be able to show evidence of clinical experience as a scrub practitioner.
