As part of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the Princess Royal University Hospital, situated in the beautiful Farnborough, Kent is now able to provide a wider range of services to the people of Bromley and Kent.
Surgical Ward 5 is part of the Liver, Renal and Surgery Division and is a 28 bed General Surgical Unit. This ward specialises in Bariatric, Colorectal and Complex general surgery. The patients are admitted from Emergency Department, clinics, theatre, ITU and other surgical wards. The environment is highly acute and challenging but has a lot of scope to learn and assist your knowledge to progress to other speciality posts.
On April 2017, the elective Bariatric surgery lists will increase. This has given an opportunity for Band 5 staff nurse to join our highly skilled and friendly team. We are keen to hear from experienced band 5 with relevant surgical experience who may like to take on the challenge of working alongside excellent nurses in the field of Bariatric and highly acute Level 1 patients. The post holder will work as an integral member of the team. They will form part of the team to lead on the delivery of high quality evidence based care for both patients and their families and carers. The post holder will be required to work closely with the Ward Manager and our closely integrated multi-disciplinary team, and will also be an excellent clinical role model and mentor facilitating the development of junior staff and student nurses.

You must have excellent customer care, communication and interpersonal skills and be flexible and able to adapt to and support change in this growing and developing environment. You will participate in the national and local audit used to identify ways we can maintain and improve the care we offer our patients.
