Senior Information Systems Developer
6 month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment 0.5WTE
Grade - Band 7
We are looking to recruit an additional Senior Information Systems Developers in the Performance Systems Development team, which forms part of the Trust’s Business Intelligence Unit (BIU).The team is responsible for the on-going development and management of the Trust’s performance management system, corporate data warehouse and internal reporting systems.
As one of the Senior Information Systems Developers, you will be working closely with other members of the team to support, develop and maintain the performance management reporting system and feeder data systems being introduced to the Trust. We use Oracle, Oracle APEX, MSSQL server, SSIS, and the E-Vision BI tool.
Working to the Performance Systems Manager, you will be will be expected to apply advanced SQL and programming techniques to provide innovative ways of storing and manipulating data, in addition to presenting and analysing activity data to inform key decision-making within the Trust. In addition to solid SQL/technical skills, knowledge of NHS Data Dictionary and NHS performance standards (e.g. RTT, Emergency Care, Cancer Waiting Times) will make a candidate standout.
You should be a graduate, or of graduate calibre, and with experience of query languages, systems/database administration and support, including experience in ETL and Business Intelligence reporting tools. Good Oracle programming experience and advanced SQL skills are a pre-requisite for any candidate.
Excellent technical, analytical and communications skills; the ability to work alone, on your own initiative, and effectively in a team environment to strict deadlines; a professional and positive outlook with the flexibility to embrace change are essential to being successful in the post.
