Sam Oram Ward Cardiology ward and Coronary Care Unit

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our friendly and innovative Coronary Care Unit as a Band 6 Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse. If you are looking for new and rewarding challenges and want to be part of an established Coronary Unit, at the cutting edge of cardiac care, we want to hear from you.

Sam Oram / Coronary Care is a dynamic, flexible and motivated ward with a 17 bed cardiology ward and 8 designated CCU beds, providing quality care to level 2 cardiac patients. As a tertiary referral centre we care for patients with complex cardiac needs from all over the south-east of England. We offer an emergency service to patients requiring primary intervention for myocardial infarction (PAMIs) and life threatening cardiac arrhythmias.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to rotate through both the cardiology ward and the Coronary Care Unit, where you will gain essential knowledge and skills in the care of the level 2 patient. You will need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and able to work well within the multidisciplinary team. In return you will be rewarded with the support of a designated professional development nurse and experienced ward managers who will support and enable you to develop as an effective Team Leader.
