Practice Development Nurse (PDN) - Adult Nursing Education

Kings college hospital have developed a brand new pioneering facility at Orpington hospital.

Our new facility will deliver integrated care through partnership with Bromley CCG, to deliver specialised care for our frail population.

Our aim is to give a seamless transfer from a hospital setting to a community setting. Our patients will have a multidisciplinary team assessment for their medical and social needs. We are a short stay facility which will include patients from an acute hospital setting who need more integrated input and we will also receive referrals from our community partners to prevent hospital admission.

As a band 7 Practice Development Nurse you will be responsible for supporting the development of the nursing team and monitoring of the service ensuring high quality safe patient care.The senior leadership team are committed to valuing and supporting each individuals development and you will be an pivotal part of this ongoing development team.

A passion for frailty and elderly care is essential to this role and experience within a teaching environment is essential. You will need to demonstrate previous leadership and ongoing professional development.
