Staff Nurse - Ophthalmology
Our mission is to deliver world class care and expertise in our clinical services, underpinned by world class teaching and research and we will continue to measure our progress against our five governing objectives: excellent outcomes, excellent patient and staff experience, excellent value for taxpayers’ money, being safe and meeting our external duties, and building a strong organisation.
As part of the application process you will be asked to answer number of questions regarding World Class Care Values. In order to watch a video with the values, please visit our trust's website.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to be part of the ophthalmic team in Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup and outreach sites, which is part of the King’s College Hospital NHS foundation trust Ophthalmology service.
Working in a friendly modern environment you will be responsible for the assessment and planning of care needs for ophthalmic patients.
Previous experience in Ophthalmology would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
In addition to the eye clinic at Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup site, we also have ophthalmic clinics in other hospitals within the foundation trust and you may be expected to work there if needed.
Working in a team you will be responsible for assessing patients and preparing them for doctor’s assessment in clinics as well as working in nurse led clinics e.g. pre-operative assessment.
If successfully shortlisted you will be invited to attend an assessment day at Queen Mary’s Hospital on the Tuesday 5th September.
