Acute Medicine Staff Nurse – Medical Assessment Centre
We are looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurses whose aim is to deliver patient centred care to the highest standard to work in our Medical Assessment Centre (MAC). The MAC is encompasses the Medical Ambulatory Centre, the Medical Assessment Centre and the Frailty Assessment Unit.
The unit is fast paced and there are lots of opportunities to develop extended practice skills whilst delivering assessment and care of the highest quality.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated and dynamic team. We offer a supportive induction programme and preceptorship and encourage continuous learning within the working environment. There is also the opportunity of an internal rotation between and the MAC and the Acute Medical Units (AMU) for those who are interested.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated, energetic individuals who have excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high quality, patient focused care.
For those applicants who are interested in working or rotating onto the Acute Medical Unit the future planning includes reconfigured of the unit to develop eight monitored cubicles. Patients remain on the unit for approximately 72 hours while investigations are taken place to determine whether admission to the main hospital is necessary or whether discharge would be more appropriate.
